« Harvey’s raise over £4,100.00 for us !!! »

Karen, the store manager at Harvey’s Furniture in Hereford met Sarah Sharp Smith (founder and trustee) of Martha Trust in Sainsbury’s store back in October at one of Martha Trust’s bag packing charity days.

She was taken with the work that the Trust undertakes and decided to organise a fundraising event to help raise funds for their second home appeal. She organised a weekend in October whereby 15% of the store’s sales would be donated to Martha Trust – this turned out to be just over £4,100.00 – such a fantastic amount! Some of the staff from Martha – Sue Brice, Katie Davies, Mary-Claire McGivern and Heli Tudgay manned a promotional stall handing out leaflets and talking to people about the charity – Harvey’s also provide cakes which didn’t last very long!

Some of the Martha Trust staff and residents collected the cheque last week!
