Planting the Rotary Wheel...

The Rotary Club have been a strong support of Martha Trust and we have decided to turn the tables and help them! Michael, our gardener, has planted 1000 crocus bulbs this week in the shape of wheel to symbolise the Rotary Wheel. It is in aid of the 'End Polio Now' campaign which they strongly support.

The humble little crocus symolises a colourful splash of hope for a new beginning and renewed efforts - a reminder of how potent an impact many working together can create.

The crocus' are purple. Why purple you may ask...? It is the tiny dab of colour on a child's little finger that indicates the child has been inoculated against the deadly virus.

We will put some more photos on the website in February 2011 when they start to flower!
